Some visitors express concerns about the busy peak hours, particularly on Saturdays around lunchtime, where they might have to wait for a table. The quick turnover can mean limited seating at times, especially for those hoping for a leisurely brunch experience. Additionally, a few customers found the menu slightly overwhelming due to the wide variety of options available, leading to decision fatigue. While many enjoy the bustling atmosphere, others mention the noise level can be a bit high during rush hours, making conversations a challenge.
Wonderful place with helpful staff that are very friendly to talk to. Relaxed atmosphere with a real authentic experience. Beautiful quality food. Don’t change a thing. We need more independent cafes like this in our towns 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Keep up the great work and hopefully we’ll be back soon.
It isn't my first and certainly won't be the last visit to Prince's, but amazing as always! I always make sure to grab a pack of Welsh cakes. I didn't photograph my delicious panini, but this Late, like my usual frothy coffee, was amazing as always. The take away meal deal is UNREAL in quality& quantity for your money. six quid for a sandwich, coffee (Americano with milk), & custard. It would easily cost $7 just for the "coffee" in the US, let alone the large slice of custard and turkey roll I had. I love this place so much. To know they actually make everything right there, the atmosphere is just lovely, and the staff are so friendly... I can't say enough good about this place.
Lovley place and great, friendly, down to earth staff.. Sylvia the apprentice made me a very decent cappuccino considering she is so new! Nice, local and quality food.
A family friend recommended that I try freshly baked pies in this country when I visited the UK for the first time. Thus, while this was my first few days at the university at Treforest, visited Pontypridd town centre and learned about this local bakery/cafe which serves fresh pies. I had Chicken Pie, Vegan pie, and Chicken Makhani pie. And it wouldn't be wrong if I said, these were the best pies ever. My favourite is though Chicken pie. Their desserts are classics and to die for. They are also famous for the freshly baked patties - the size of their patties is huge - one patty indeed is equal as one meal. If you wish to enjoy the local food, this indeed is the one-stop solution.
Very accommodating. I came here after my medical alert assistance dog and I had been turned away from another restaurant. The staff ignored my dog as they should and the manager moved a chair away to give my dog space to settle. They were very polite and welcoming, even offered a bowl of water and complimentary sausage to my assistance dog while understanding that he was working and couldn't interact.
Called in for a snack. Very busy, with it being a Wednesday (market day) so we went upstairs. Excellent service. Definitely worth a visit if you’re a visitor to Pontypridd. Early morning the window is full of a delightful array of cakes to eat in or take home.
A proud part of Pontypridd history. Great, homely, freshly-made food from pies to sandwiches to roast dinners. And a huge, yummy cake selection. Afternoon tea is huge and great value... get a doggy bag! Service (can be a little slow when it's super busy) is always with a smile. I love the 1920s style and deco. The upstairs can be hired for private events where the good service continues.
Don’t miss the Welsh cakes or the signature Prince's Breakfast. The paninis also come highly recommended for a satisfying lunch.
